Push Through It! Workout
Hello My Lovies,
I’m so happy to be back with a new Lower Body Workout Routine. I named this workout “Push Through It” because this is exactly what I had to do today to finish this devilish workout. This workout was divided into 3 parts, and it took me about 30 minutes to complete. For everyone who is new to Loving Fit, I suggest to check out ” Creating Your Workout Plan ” post, it will help you with putting together a workout schedule that will fit your needs best.
Few words before I tell you about today’s workout:
We had a very difficult day filming today, it was probably one of the top 5 difficult days ever and because so many things were going wrong we had to really be in a rush at the end ( I don’t like rushing cause random thoughts fly into my head and I always seem to forget something ). Today’s situations ( there were several things ) were a reminder of something for me, because I always try to look for lessons in every obstacle that I come across. Sometimes it requires some real patience, and I looked at it as a test. There was a huge part of me that was whispering into my ear, OK just stop filming, cause things are not going good and we’ll film tomorrow instead, but I didn’t give up, and oh gosh did I wanted to. I ended up getting my patience and will power together and said to my self: ” OK, things are not always gonna be perfect but I’m not gonna give up, I am going to finish this right now.
The circumstances of later revealed that we weren’t going to be able to film the next day, but at the moment I didn’t know. And now all I can think of is, wow if I didn’t push my self, I wasn’t gonna have a new workout for you guys until Saturday evening, and I am so glad that I got my mind together. I know this was my test, because I always try to teach these things to others, and as they say ” Whatever you preach you will always have to prove “.
Now, on with the workout:
First things first, make sure to do your warm-up and practice good exercise form before beginning to exercise. Watch the workout explanation part of the video for proper form explanation of each exercise.
Workout Explanation
In this routine I was using my Gymboss timer, a balance ball and a 40 lbs SandBag from Medved Sport. I am actually feeling that I may be needing an upgrade because the 40 lbs are getting quite easy for me.
First part of the workout is done for proper form and time. Second part is interval training ( very short part ) and third part is also done for time.
Part 1
Set your timer as a stopwatch. There is only 1 combo and you will repeat this combo for the total of 40 reps.
- Five Count Isometric Squat & a Regular Squat ( this counts as 1 rep )
Part 2
Set your timer for 2 intervals, first interval is 7 seconds long ( rest ), second interval is 13 seconds long ( work time ), for the total of 10 rounds. You will be doing 1 exercise, switching sides after 1 rep.
After you’ve completed 5 reps on both sides, you will reset your timer and do this exercise one more time. ( it turns out about 6 minutes of work total time )
- Ballet Booty Exercise ( 5 reps per side, then switch sides )
Part 3
Set your timer as a stopwatch, there is one more combo to complete. You will complete 20 reps of the following combo:
- Bag Clean – 6 Back Lunge Pulses Right Leg & Left Leg ( this is one rep )
After this I’ve done 15 minutes of jump rope and 5 minutes of stretching. Usually I stretch for 10 minutes daily every single day before I go to sleep, so I don’t stretch too long after my workout.
My Time:
First part took me 13 minutes 41 seconds to complete
Part two took me 11 minutes 28 seconds
Guys, every one of us is on a different level, some of you are faster than me and some are not, but the healthy approach is to compete against our selves. If you can’t do the workout as fast as some of us can, don’t worry about that, just focus on good form of each exercise and speed will come with time. You will still get all the benefits of the workout even if you train at your own level.
Have Fun my Darlings!
